LIVING WAGE EMPLOYER

Hunt’s Food Group are an accredited Real Living Wage Employer. Their Real Living Wage commitment will see everyone working at Hunt’s Food Group receive a minimum hourly wage of £12.00. A rate of which is significantly higher than the government minimum for over 23s.

Hunt’s Food Group have seven depots throughout the South of England and are based in a region where over a fifth of all jobs pay less than the real living wage. Despite the trends in the surrounding areas, Hunt’s Food Group have committed to paying a real living wage for their hard-working team.

We are happy to announce that Hunt's Food Group is now an accredited Living Hours employer. Being a Living Hours Employer builds upon our living Wage accreditation by focusing on how much time our colleagues need to work to support themselves and their families. THORNER'S RSPCA ASSURED

RSPCA Assured is the RSPCA's farm animal welfare assurance scheme. All farms on the RSPCA Assured scheme must comply with the RSPCA’s stringent higher welfare standards. You can find a link with more information about the standards below.

ORGANIC ACCREDITATIONS

The Soil Association is the UK’s leading membership charity campaigning for healthy, humane and sustainable food, farming and land use.

The Soil Association, its standards and activities, and the practice of organic farmers are all based on a set of internationally recognised principles. These principles are the roots from which organic agriculture grows and develops. They express the contribution that organic agriculture can make to the world and a vision to improve all agriculture in a global context.

MICRON2 CERTIFICATES

 Micron 2 have experience and heritage operating in the world of food auditing and certification, product specifications and labels, product sampling, quality systems and training.

THORNER'S RED TRACTOR ASSOCIATION

The Red Tractor logo is only found on British food and drink products that have been certified to rigorous standards from farms to pack. The logo means that the food you buy has been responsibly sourced, safely produced and comes from crops and animals that have been well cared for – so it’s good for you and good for British farmers.

ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY

Hunt's Food Group is committed to minimising the environmental impact of the company's activities. From management level, the company has developed an ethos of environmental responsibility by monitoring and reducing the environmental impact of the business.

Respect for the environment is a consideration at every stage of the business process. Hunt’s actively pursue reductions in packaging volumes, product wastage and comply with guidelines on packaging recycling. All possible paper, cardboard and plastic wrap is recycled. Our Sherborne Ammonia refrigerant has an ODP (Ozone Depletion Potential) rating of 0.

Hunt’s also recognises the impact of its operations and actively minimise with new fleet technology. Telematic technology enables the business to improve fuel efficiency and reduce carbon emissions along with Adblue added to the fleet of HGV's to reduce harmful gases being emitted.
