Sun powered service: Hunt's installs solar panels at its Bridgwater depot

We are happy to announce the successful installation of solar panels on our Bridgwater depot! Hunt's Food Group now has solar panels covering the roofs of 5 of our depots across the South of England.

Implementing solar energy to our sites is a significant step towards our mission of becoming carbon-neutral. It allows us to pull less energy from the grid and ensure responsibly sourced power. On our latest installation, over 540 strategically placed panels were placed on top of our Bridgwater depot to ensure it receives the maximum amount of sunlight. The new installation has a capacity of over 220kw at its peak and gives us the ability to generate over 200 megawatts of clean energy every year! A massive thank you to Midsomer Solartech, who shared their knowledge and expertise and did an incredible job managing the project and installing the panels.

The completion of this project marks another step forward in the journey of becoming carbon-neutral. If you wish to find out more about our journey to becoming carbon-neutral and our charitable giving, visit our social good page on our website by CLICKING HERE.
