Two Bridgwater Legends Retire

This spring has marked the retirement of two ladies who have been integral to the growth and success of Queenswood Natural Foods. Elaine Morris has worked in the purchasing team, ordering stock from suppliers and helping manage the business stock levels for 30 years, and Linda Melinn after 25 years as the business buyer. To celebrate their time at Hunt's Food Group all colleagues at the Bridgwater depot gathered to wish the pair all the best in their retirement and acknowledge the outstanding job both ladies have done over so many years. Thomas Hunt presented Elaine and Linda with a Thorner's Hamper and Flowers and expressed the companies’ thanks for all their hard work, mentioning both had been a pleasure to work with whilst the Bridgwater team carried out a collection and presented both with additional gifts.

Elaine and Linda started working for Roger and Jill Cooze at the site in Robins Drive, Bridgwater, before the business moved to its current site in Bristol Road in 2006. Linda worked closely with Jill’s brother, Alan Baker, growing the product ranges and sales into customers before taking over the buying from Alan, whilst Elaine supported with ordering stock from suppliers. In 2013, the business was purchased by Hunt's Food Group, and Linda and Elaine's product knowledge, experience and relationships with key suppliers have been fundamental to the business’s success.

We wish Linda, Elaine and their families all the best in their retirement. Everyone at Hunts Food Group will sorely miss them, and I know both are looking forward to spending more time with their grandchildren.
